Sam Patterson

Sam Patterson has over three decades of experience in finance, accounting and technology, and nearly 15 years working in the restaurant industry.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant, and holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from Auburn University and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Texas, Tyler.  

Sam background includes serving as CFO for Global Franchise Group where he was responsible for the finance, accounting and information technology functions for the company and its brands, including Round Table Pizza, Great American Cookies, Marble Slab Creamery, Hot Dog on a Stick and Pretzelmaker. Prior to GFG, Sam was with Focus Brands for 11 years, where he served as Senior Vice President of Accounting and was responsible for leading financial functions for Cinnabon, Carvel, Schlotzsky’s, Moe’s Southwest Grill, McAlister’s Deli, Auntie Anne’s, and Jamba Juice.  

Prior to Focus Brands, Sam was Senior Vice President &Corporate Controller for Movie Gallery/Hollywood Video, Vice President and Corporate Controller for Republic National Cabinet Corporation, and Corporate Controller for Wolverine Tube, Inc.  He began his career with Arthur Andersen LLP.
